Daegu metropolitan government announced to start its three major businesses to create global green energy hub city including creating technopolis energy self-sufficient city, establishing Daegu national indurstrial complex micro grid, and enlarging smart grid business. According to Daegu government, this business is the world's first business to form energy sufficient city which has total of 100 MW energy.
In 2017, there will be an investmewnt of $ 310 million USD to support constructing 60 MW fuel cell generation. LG CNS, Hwa Sung Industrial Co., Ltd, Daesung Energy Co., Ltd, and other companies joined and established special purpose company (SPC). This business is expected to reduce the environmental polution, provide pleasant civil environments, and bring other positive results.
The purpose of establishing Daegu national industrial micro grid system is to create Korea's first energy self sufficient industrial complex through forming block type micro grid system that combines renewable energy and hybrid energy. Total amount of investment is about $ 41 million USD.
