Daegu metropolitan is propelling to establish block type micro grid system business that contains hybrid ESS, solar energy, general information center, and many others as the first in Korea at national industrial complex.
Daegu announced to invest $41 million until 2018 to establish 27 MW of ESS, 6 MW of convergence decentralized power supply, general information center, and V2X test bed.
The plan for this year is setting up 8 MW of ESS, 2.5 MW of decentralized energy supply, 1 unit of V2X test bed using $14 million.
Daegu is expecting to reduce approximately 5% of peak energy if Block Energy Management System (BEMS) is successfully set up, and will be able to explore foreign market and enlarging to Daegu by setting up the energy self sufficient modeling.
Samsung SDI, LG CNS, SKT, and other companies are expressing opinions to participate into a project.
