KT and Daegu signed on the business arrangement for future smart city and activation of ICT convergence industry. This business arrangement is for convergence technologies and business development that will lead 4th industrial revolution.

Daegu's major business is "to turn to eco friendly and high tech city, and leading 4th industrial revolution. Daegu has the only automatic driving test center in Korea, and started V2X test bed that is combined with hydrogen, renewable energy, and electric recharging technology with KT last year.

Daegu and KT will also develop safety system and exploring tourism using ICT technologies such as AI, big data, IoT, VR, AR, and other ICT related technologies.

KT announces that they will put a lot of effort to improve convenience of Daegu citizens by developing different ICT convergence areas under cooperation with Daegu government. Yeongjin Kwon, a mayor of Daegu, says that KT will act as an engine by combining future vehicle, medical treatment, and energy field in growing industrial city fo Daegu, and will do best to establish the city that will lead 4th industrial revolution in the future.
