Daegu is elected from "Renewable energy convergence supporting business" that is operated by Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) and will receiving 1 billion KRW (approximately $0.9 million USD) from the government. Therefore, the city will start its $2 million renewable energy supply business to private sector will start now.
"2017 Supplying renewable energy convergence business" will be operated by Daegu and targeting special sector complex business which are at Hyeonpoong, located at Dalseong-gun, and Ilwon technopolis at Guji-myeon. The business is supporting 780kW of renewable energy to 36 places for houses and companies. 60% of installation fee will be supported by the government expense.
For this business, Hanhwa estate, Daegu Techno Park Nano Convergence Commercialization Center, and Daegu city formed consortium and applied for the government expense. After all, the consortium is elected from MOTIE through the deliberation and evaluation of Korea Energy Agency.
Daegu city is planning to expand the the energy capacity to 2MW and supply to 100 locations including houses, companies, public services with the estimated budget of $4.5 million and will start recruiting next month.
