[Chile: environmental approval sought for almost 300 MW]
Two solar energy developers in Chile submitted Declarations of Environmental Impact (DIA) for three new photovoltaic projects worth more than US$600 million to Chile’s environmental evaluation service (SEA) over the last ten days.
Santiago-based Desarrollos Fotovoltaicos de Chile (DFC) submitted a pair of DIAs for 98 MW Huatacondo and 98 MW Willka, while Andes Mainstream also applied for environmental licensing of its 104 MW Azapa photovoltaic project.
